Mr. H. H. Bemis has been elected "Mott Haven Correspondent," of the CRIMSON.

The Shakspere Society of Wellesley will hold an open meeting next Saturday evening of this week.

Mr. William A. Hervey, '87, managing editor of the CRIMSON, has resigned from the CRIMSON board.

The 86 Class Committee will soon start out on the war path to get subscriptions to the class fund.

It is rumored that four '88 men are about to purchase a four oared shell and to organize a crew.

None of the crews have as yet been rowing against time, but some at tempts will be made this week.

The base-ball management has thus far arranged for 37 games. The list will be published sometime this week.

The old '88 shell seems to be doomed to bad luck. It had a serious collision with one of the Charles river bridges last week.

The indications are, from the present sale of tickets that the Hasty Pudding Club performances will net a good sum to the Boat Club.

Mr. Gordon Woodbury has been obliged to leave the college temporarily, owing to the sudden death of his father. His place in the Pudding theatricals will be taken by Messrs. G. P. Griswold and A. G. Mason.

The facts in the recent contradictory statements about the action of the Christian Brethren on the prayer petition are these: At the request of President Eliot a census was taken of Christian men in the college; only 31 men were seen: 15 were for the petition, and 14 against; 2 were undecided.
