Since we published various articles suggesting fitting ways in which to celebrate the two hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the university, we have been informed that all measures have been taken by the Corporation for a proper observance of this important occasion. For some unknown reason they have not as yet seen fit to make public their arrangements, but we are advised that the arrangements are nearly completed, and that the celebration will probably occur late in the coming fall. Notwithstanding these facts, however, we would strongly encourage the plan that both undergraduates and alumni take some active part in the exercises of the day, besides enjoying the addresses of the no doubt eloquent speakers, to whom it will be their good fortune to listen.
