It has been reported that Clement, '88, was obliged to retire before the end of the second round of the feather-weight sparring at the New York Athletic Club last Wednesday night. He sparred all these rounds and was especially praised for his scientific work by the New York papers.

The next debate of the Harvard Union takes place March 4 in Sever 11, at 7.30 p.m. Question: "Resolved that the Knights of Labor deserve the support of the Working Classes." Principal disputants are: affirmative, A. T. Perkins, '87, E. E. Shoemaker, '89; negative, N. F. Hesseltine, '88, G. A. Reisner, '89.

Not content with one really excellent crew, the sophomores have followed the example of the juniors and put a second crew into training. It is rowing as follows: stroke, C. H. Baldwin, 153; 7, E. L. Blossom, 156; 6, E. C. Stowell, 159; 5, C. S. Hervey, 160. This incomplete eight is working into good form, and it is possible that some of its members may be called to seats in the class boat. Altogether, '88 has an excellent chance for a place in the class races this spring. - Record.
