The Historical Society and the college at large have every reason for gratification at the first lecture of the series given last night in Sanders theatre. The audience did the speaker justice both by its quality and attention. There is no better illustration of the decay of the old prejudices than to have lectures such as these within the walls of Memorial from the lips of one who fought on the other side.
