Mr. J. S. Russell, '87, is sick at home with rheumatic fever.

Dr. Hart discussed the mid-year paper in History 13 yesterday.

The note-books in N. H. 3 may be handed in for several days longer.

Fine Arts 5 is much crowded, and many men have been refused admittance.

To-day is due in English V the theme introductory to the work for the last half-year.

The lecture next time in History 18 will cover the work gone over the first half year. Saturday, Mr. Hart will discuss the mid-year examination paper.

Yesterday Professor Palmer went over the examination paper in Philosophy IV.

Mr. Chauncy M. Depew will address the Princeton students next Thursday evening.

Catalogues of the Columbia School of Political Science, and the Columbia Law School have been sent to all seniors.

Professor Palmer has announced that the final examination in Philosophy IV will consist of a thesis written in the examination room. The subject will be a "Theory of Conscience."

Among the writers in the last Century favoring International Copyright, are Pres. Porter of Yale, ex-Pres. Hopkins of Williams, Pres. Gilman of Johns Hopkins, Pres. Bernard of Columbia.

The synopsis of Dr. Farnham's 9th lecture is as follows: the lungs, respiratory muscles, male and female type of respiration, quantity of air respired, importance of pure air, contaminations of the atmosphere.

The syllabus for the second half year in History 18 can be subscribed for any day between 3 and 4 at 44 Weld. Price 50 cents. Those who did not get the first half year's sheets can obtain them of the committee for $1.00.

The Pennsylvania college boys are training every day under the watchful eye of Ellis Ward. Ward thinks the personnel of the crew much stronger this year than last and is confident that they will make a better showing.

The new Cambridge gymnasium will be opened next Monday evening. Dr. Sargent will lecture on the "Benefit of Gymnastic Exercise," and members of the Turnverein Union and Association gymnasiums of Boston will give an exhibition.
