The plan proposed by the executive committee of the tennis association should meet with hearty support from the college. The permanent form which the trophy will take, will not only conduce to a permanently higher grade of play but ought to be a reason for liberal subscriptions. When men are willing to pay without hesitation for the current expenses of their respective teams, we should expect even more willingness in aid of such a perpetual emblem. Then too, no other sport has so many advantages as tennis. The hundreds of enthusiasts in the sport should make the collection of the sum required an easy matter. Friends of tennis then, come forward and give to the college a tennis trophy which shall be a credit to the players as a body and to the delightful game.
