Much of a disparaging nature has been said of the freshman eleven, a large part of which was proved to be true in the game last Saturday with Andover. There is one chance yet left for the eleven to clear themselves and to change the prevalent opinion which now pervades the college. This chance will present itself to-day, when the eleven goes to Exeter. Exeter is by no means invincible, as many of the freshman class seem to think, and if the team goes into the game with a fixed determination to win, and not in a faint-hearted spirit, there are good grounds for believing that the freshmen may wrest a hard-contested victory from an Academy which now holds the foremost place in foot-ball among the preparatory schools of New England.
