The competition for editorship on the CRIMSON was extraordinarily lively last year among the members of the freshman class. Some very excellent writing was sent in, and the final selection of fit candidates required considerable discrimination. It is customary to take two editors from the freshman class, one before Christmas, and the other in the second term. We trust that we shall be given ample occasion to exercise our criticism and discrimination about electing a man from '90. Anybody that feels capable of expressing his thoughts in a concise and intelligible manner is invited to contribute to our columns with the view of becoming a regular editor.
