At the meeting of the foot-ball men of the college, called yesterday for the purpose of electing a captain for the university team, no candidate was elected, no one receiving a majority of the votes cast. A second meeting will be held Thursday, at which, it is hoped, an election will be effected. All the men entitled to vote should remember that the election is for the interests of the college as a whole; that no partisan or class spirit should prevail, but that clique interests should give way to a unanimity characteristic of the general interest at stake.
