Aside from the fact that the game of yesterday was too close to be altogether pleasant, there were certain other disagreeable features which should be noticed. First, we are sorry to be obliged to censure a Harvard player for indulging in a dispute with a player on the opposing team. This is a practice contrary to all Harvard traditions. It must not occur again. Next we feel compelled to notice the conduct of certain members of the visiting team. With utter disregard of all the rules of self-restraint which should govern a college ball player, these players badgered the umpire with such persistency that at last it became almost unbearable. For the sake of the reputation of college athletics, we hope that a repetition of this offence may be avoided hereafter.
