In another column will be found a communication relative to the recent editorial comments made by the Lampoon upon the Advocate. While not in sympathy with the extreme view of the case taken by our correspondent, we feel compelled to express surprise at the tone of the Lampoon editorials. It has so long been the custom in Harvard journalism to exercise for bearance and courtesy toward contemporary journals that any violation of the established precedent is all the more noticeable. We sincerely hope that the editorial tone of the Harvard press is not to be allowed to reach the undesirable level which is to be found at some of our sister colleges.
