An alarm for a small fire near the boat-house called out a large number of students shortly after dinner last evening.

Mayor W. E. Russell will give the address to-day in Sanders Theatre, and Rev. Mr. Gracey, the oration. The exercises begin at 1 o'clock.

President Eliot proposes to give an address before the college next week, on the subject of college discipline and college government. He may also take occasion at this time to explain the attitude of the authorities upon the matter of compalsory prayers, and the regulation of athletics.

The pamphlet giving a detailed account of the courses of instruction in Classics and in Sanskrit is now ready, and may be had on application to the office.

The Brass Band will give the music in Sanders Theatre for the G. A. R. services this afternoon, immediately after lunch. The Glee Club will also give selections.
