Since writing the editorial upon the action of the Yale freshman manager which appeared in yesterday's issue, a copy of the Yale News has come to hand, containing an editorial in which the claim advaneed by the freshmen is abandoned. The editors of the News very frankly say that the card referred to was printed before the matter had been fully investigated, and wish it known that such a claim would never have been entered had the rules relating to the subject been familiar to them.
This prompt action upon the part of the News is eminently gratifying, and is no less than is to be expected from the representative organ of Yale.
