The freshmen defeated Amherst, '88, in a very one-sided game Saturday. Our freshmen batted fairly and flelded splendidly, only four errors being made and those excusable ones. The features of the game were the pitching of Palmer, who struck out ten men during the seven innings in which he pitched, the fielding of Holden, Fargo, Choate and Judson, and the batting of Fargo, Foss and Judson. There was a very poor attendance and little or no enthusiasm. The score follows:
