The Sunday Herald said, "If the Harvards bat in championship games as they did Saturday, the result of the season will not be in doubt."
Several students have bought single sculls in which they will compete in the single scull races to be held by the Boat Club in June.
Holmes Field will be used for the first time this afternoon in the game between Bowdoin and Harvard. The game will be called at 4 P. M.
Fogg, '85, sprained his ankle yesterday morning. This accident will but temporarily interfere with Mr. Fogg's work for the Mott Haven team.
Rev. Phillips Brooks will lecture tonight and to-morrow night, (April 28 and 29), on "Toleration," in St. John's Chapel, Brattle St., at 7.30 P. M. Seats will be reserved for members of the University.
Students are invited to attend the exercises of any course about which they may wish to obtain information, and are expected, when they so attend, to report to the instructor at the beginning of the hour.
After Saturday, May 2nd, Mr. Briggs will substitute two themes for all other required work of freshman English. These themes must be from three to five pages long. Mr. Briggs will meet the class in Sever 11 on May 5th, 16th, and 26th. The first theme will be due on May 5th, the second on May 16th.
Harvard Union to-night. Question: "Resolved, that a change of ministry in England is desirable." Disputants: J. M. Goodale, '85; S. Storrow, '87, affirmative. C. P. Robinson, '85; S. D. Richardson, '86, negative. An important change of the constitution affecting the nature of the society will be proposed, and it is hoped, therefore, that a large number will be present.
