Saturday afternoon Harvard played her second game with the Institute of Technology. The game was marked by heavy hitting on the part of our men and was too one-sided to be interesting. Nichols and Allen formed our battery for the first four innings, after which Winslow and Jones pitched and caught. Harvard opened up with three scores in the first inning and succeeded in making one or more runs in every inning except the sixth. The Techs played weak fielding game, and, with the exception of Twombly and Clark, showed themselves unable to face our pitching. Nichols and Smith did the best work at the bat, the former making two and the latter one home run. Our base running is better than it was last year, but there is still room for improvement.
