It is a significant fact that the eastern colleges that favor scientific education have received the greatest gain in the number of pupils. The Institute of Technology, and Cornell University are particular illustrations of this tendency, the former reporting one hundred more students than last year, and the entering class of the latter being larger than that of Yale, and according to reports, equal to that of Harvard.- University Press.
