The trustees of Cornell University have invited the Hon. Eugene Schuyler, recently United States Minister at Athens, to give a course of lectures on the "Diplomatic and Consular System of the United States." The lectures are given in connection with the department of History and Political Science. The lectures are intended to be supplementary to the course already given in the University on International Law and History, and to aid in training men for positions in the service. Cornell thus takes the initiative in fitting men for the diplomatic service.-[Ex.
