The announcement of several lectures under the auspices of the Philosophical Club shows that the club is still a living organization, promoting the study of Philosophy at Harvard. During the past five months, the club has not been brought prominently before the notice of the college, although it has been in a flourishing condition. The object of the club is the free discussion of philosophical problems, and for this reason the number of members is necessarily rather small. The consequence is that, although the fortnightly meetings are well attended, are highly interesting to the members themselves, the students at large hear very little about the club, except in connection with its public lectures.
