We sincerely regret that our editorial of yesterday should have been so displeasing in its nature to the Board of Directors of Memorial Hall. We doubt if any one connected with Harvard is more interested in the success of the hall, or more proud of its present position than the CRIMSON. We should regret to do anything to harm this institution, but we feel that a little criticism, instead of doing harm, will improve the hall.

It will be seen by the letter of the president, which we publish to-day, that the proposed reforms in the Monday lunch have not yet been introduced. As notice was given that the changes would take place, and as certain changes did take place on last Monday, we hope we may be pardoned for supposing that the beef pie in question was the great reform which we had been promised.

As to the price of board, the letter of the president explains the cause of the present low price. If, however, the board is required not to exceed $4.00, we would suggest that next year the management sees that the catalogue, instead of stating that the price should not exceed $4.50, should be corrected to $4.00.

However, as we said before, we are very glad that the hall is in such a flourishing condition, and hope that the improvements in the Monday lunch will meet our expectations.
