The library petition has been granted. The petition was signed by the majority of the students, and the fact that the faculty have seen fit to grant it proves conclusively that any reform of not too vital a nature can be accomplished by the united interest of the students. Reserved books can now be taken from the library between four in the afternoon and sunset. By this change the average gain in time by the students is nearly three-quarters of an hour each day. We sincerely trust that this privilege will not be abused, and that it will accomplish its purpose. We extend our thanks on behalf of the students to the faculty for their action, exhibiting as it does the evident desire of the college government to conform in their duties with the general welfare of the students.
