The Sunday issue of the New York Sun illustrated very well how reports of foot-ball games are concocted. With the Sun excepted, the papers of New York and Boston published exceedingly fair and truthful reports of last Saturday's game.

According to the catalogue of Tufts College, there are 134 students in that institution, of whom 6 are candidates for the degree of A. M., 25 are pursuing the engineering course, 26 the theological course, and 77 either the philosophical or regular course.

Cornell University has recently received and accepted $60,000 to endow a professorship of ethics and moral philosophy. The gift is from the Hon. Henry W. Sage, who founded the Sage Female College, connected with Cornell University.
