The Yale-Princeton Game.

An article in the Princetonian of Wednesday throws a new light on the Yale-Princeton trouble. It seems that at the Inter-collegiate Convention of Oct. 10th no date or place for playing the game was voted upon, and that Princeton said they could do nothing till after a vote of their Board of Trustees. The next morning, however, to quote the Princetonian, "the Yale News and the morning papers in New York had in their reports of the Foot-ball Convention, Princeton vs. Yale on Nov. 21, in New Haven, or on Nov. 26, in New York. This was without the authority of Princeton or of the contion itself."

As Yale had laid great stress on the game being played in New York, Princeton finally got permission from the faculty to play there on next Saturday. But, all at once Yale put forth the claim that if the game could not be played in New York Thanksgiving, it must be played in New Haven - something to which Princeton had never agreed, and there seems to be no reason why she should have agreed to it. The tone of Yale has been such as to give plain notice to Princeton that in case the latter did not come to terms no game will be played. A result, considering the relative strength of the two teams, which would be much regretted by Princeton. The following telegram received by the CRIMSON Wednesday night shows the attitude of Yale on the subject: "At a mass meeting of Yale students held this evening it was resolved that the Yale-Princeton game be played in New Haven, Saturday, Nov. 21st, at 2.30 p. m." Rather than give up the game there is little doubt that Princeton will consider the demands of her opponents.
