One cannot but feel gratified at the general interest now taken by our students in physical training. A glance at the gymnasium on any afternoon or evening discloses a state of affairs which is highly creditable to the college. All the apparatus is in use, and not only by the men who are training for positions on our various teams, but also by the students whose only object is to obtain more private exercise. When the Hemenway Gymnasium was first built, it was thought that it would prove sufficient for the needs of the college for many years. If, however, the athletic interest continues to increase in its present ration, new accommodations will be needed in the near future.
