Yesterday the nine made their second trip to Providence, and the score shows that our former defeat was due to hard luck rather than to the inefficiency of our representatives. Our batter played remarkably well, and the change of pitchers in the ninth inning was made to save Nichols' hand. Baker and Smith also deserve mention for their work.
