BASE BALL.

HARVARD '87, 15; BROWN '87, 7.The freshman nine met the Brown freshmen for the second time yesterday, and inflicted upon them a second defeat, thus winning the series.

The game was played at Providence and the nine was accompanied by but few supporters. The contest was too one-sided to be exciting, though the Brown freshmen were able to hold their own for the first six innings. The features of the game were the heavy hitting of Willard, Tilden and Cowling, for Harvard, and the effective catching of Clark for Brown.

Our freshmen won the game by brilliant fielding and strong batting in the last three innings. Below is the score:

BROWN '87.A.B. R. B. T.B. P.O. A. E.
