A writer from Paris says: "I hear ex Governor Leland Stanford of California, who has been here for some time past and who is in very bad health, has decided to give several millions of dollars out of his immense fortune to the founding of a university for the sons of working men. This institution will probably be located in the state of California, and will be named after Governor Stanford's only son, who died recently in Florence of malarial fever."
