The lacrosse game tomorrow between the candidates for the American team and our twelve, will afford one of the best opportunities ever offered at Harvard for witnessing a good game of lacrosse. The opposing team is composed of picked players from the best clubs in the country, men who have been selected for their fine individual play to represent this country abroad.
Our own team has been steadily improving since they took the field this spring, and show great improvement over their condition last fall. As this is their first game this season their work as a team will probably not be as good as it will later on, when a few practice games have been played, but in this respect it will be much better than the American team, as the latter plays its first game as a team today with the Unions of Boston. The reputation for skill and science which the American team enjoys and the brilliant individual play which may be expected will undoubtedly result in an interesting game, and one in which those who are comparatively ignorant of lacrosse will be able to appreciate.
