The business transacted by the overseers at their meeting yesterday morning was confined to appointments and election of instructors for the college. Assistant Professor John Williams White, Ph. D., was elected Professor of Greek. It was also voted to concur with the president and fellows in the following appointments for the ensuing year: Harold Whiting, A. M., instructor in physics; Edward Perkins Channing, Ph. D., instructor in history; Frank William Taussig, Ph. D., instructor in political economy; Albert Bushnell Hart, Ph. D., instructor in American history; Henry Dixon Jones, A. B., instructor in elocution. Josiah Royce, Ph. D., was appointed instructor in philosophy and forensics.
