Mr. Matthew Arnold, who sailed last Saturday for England on the Servia, will contribute a paper on "Literature and Science" to the April number of the Manhatten magazine, which will contain some of the matter of his lecture of the same title as well as much that is new. It is said to have some sharp thrusts at those who clamor for a "practical" education, and will be read with much interest by all interested in that question.
