The action of the Columbia students in calling for a convention of delegates from the student athletic associations of the several colleges to consider the regulation of athletic sports, seems to open the way for a solution of the present difficulty which may prove satisfactory to all concerned. We hope that delegates from all the colleges whose faculties are concerned in the new movement will be present. A plan presented by such a convention would be very likely to obtain student approval, and we can see no good reason why it might not be approved by the college faculties also, if reasonable in its suggestions.
