The election of a director from '87 for the Memorial Hall Dining Association which was to have taken place to night has been postponed for a week.

The high wind of Sunday night blew down many telegraph poles on Main street obstructing horse-car travel. Some of the seats on Jarvis field were also blown over.

"If, instead of college students," says the Brookline Chronicle, "a party of young mechanies had defiled the memorial statue of John Harvard, what a jolly row there would have been to be sure!"
