From our article of last week on the Co-operative Society of the University of Michigan, it will be seen that the necessary expense for managing the society there is expected to be very small. The superintendent's salary mentioned would seem hardly adequate at an initial stage even; and as the business develops, taking in many new branches, as it will do surely, we think that the Michigan men will find it necessary to change the constitution of their society. Harvard men will be pleased to learn that the Society of Ann Arbor is reported to be doing a large business with its members. Michigan Uiversity is the first institution to join us, as it were, in our efforts to promote in common our economic interests.
