Brown, 10; Harvard, 5.

Brown won her first game of the season yesterday at Providence. Brown came first to the bat and in the first inning made three runs off two hits and two errors. Six runs were added in the third and fourth off three hits aided by errors by Baker and Lovering. For Harvard, Lovering made a run in the first inning off a two base hit and errors. Two runs, one earned, were added in the seventh inning, after two men were out. Coolidge and Baker then hit safe but were left. Brown won the game by sharp fielding at critical points, Shedd in particular distinguishing himself. Crocker was hit in the head by a foul tip in the fourth inning but pluckily resumed play. About twenty men accompanied the nine. The score :
