Today will be an important one for the athletic interests of the college. Rarely, if ever, has it happened that so many important contests should come off on one day. The contest for the cup at the Polo Grounds, the Yale-Harvard base-ball game on our own grounds, and the Yale-Harvard lacrosse game at New Haven, all occur today. For the cup our chances are certainly good; our prospects for the ball game have improved greatly since the Brown game, and there ought to be little doubt as regards the result of the lacrosse game. We hope that in all three of the events Harvard may make a record of which we may well be proud.
