The nine played its first Princeton championship game at Princeton on Friday. Our nine played a steady fielding game, and lost the game by Princeton's batting in the last inning. Princeton made two runs in the first inning, on Wilson's hit and Nichols' errors, but were unable to score again until the third inning, when one run was made on Wadleigh's three bagger. After this Princeton was retired in one, two, three order until the ninth inning, when base hits by John and James Harlan and Wilson, assisted by a passed ball, gave them three runs. Harvard was kept from scoring until the fifth inning, when one run was scored on hits by Baker and Le Moyne and a passed ball; another run was added to the score in the seventh inning on errors by Harlan, Wilson and Clark. By good batting on the part of Coolidge, Baker and Keep, three runs were made in the ninth inning. Allen pitched well and was well supported by Nichols. Baker, Coolidge and Beaman excelled in fielding. Baker and Le Moyne in batting. Le Moyne was disabled in the seventh inning and gave place to Keep. Following is the score :
