A terrific cyclone swept over portions of Mississippi on Sunday afternoon, the work of destruction being the most severe at Wesson and Beauregard. At the latter place alone 24 persons were killed and 45 wounded, while the loss of life at Wesson was nearly as great. The cyclone also visited Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee where much property was destroyed.
