An editorial in the last Advocate criticizes very justly a proposal that the athletic committee of the faculty have under consideration. This proposition is that the new assistant trainer who is to be appointed should be entrusted with the management of the funds of all our athletic organizations. This would be taking out of the hands of the students a large part of the management of their organizations, and is on this ground open to the greatest objections. Some such suggestion as that of the Advocate might be adopted, but nothing should be done that would make the students feel that they had not the control of their own institutions.
