We wish to call attention to the fact that up to the present time the Lacrosse Association has been almost entirely self-supporting. The members of the team have defrayed their own expenses, and the college at large has never been called upon to subscribe for its support. A game has been arranged with the University of New York the first of next month, and the money to meet the expenses of this trip must be had within a week. With the exception of the freshman class none of the classes in college have been called upon for pecuniary aid. As the team holds at present the inter-collegiate championship and the Oelrich cup, and has a record better than any other organization in college, the officers of the association ought to experience little difficulty in raising this comparatively small amount for the maintenance of a branch of athletics in which Harvard has never suffered defeat.
