The appeal made by the treasurer of the Boat Club in another column ought to meet with such prompt response as to make further appeals for the same object unnecessary. The college should at all events show that it is unwilling to slight the needs of a victorious crew. We hope that the freshmen in particular will see fit to contribute largely. Fewer organizations are dependent for financial support on them than on any other class, and they should show their interest in the success of Harvard's athletics in a substantial way.
