There has been some complaint on the part of members of the Co-operative Society because they are not allowed to get their books after seven o'clock in the evening. It may be a slight inconvenience to a man who happens to come after seven o'clock for the books he has ordered not to be able to get them, but it is a published rule of the society, necessary to the careful and economical conduct of its business, that the cash account shall be made up at 7 P. M. each day. After this, of course, no business can be transacted.
