The Michigan Argonant gives the following account of Mr. Justin Winsor's address at the dedication of the Ann Arbor Library: "One of the most interesting features of the evening was the address by Mr. Justin Winsor on bibliography in general and the part books play in the world's progress. The address although read, was delivered in an entertaining, conversational manner and was very heartily appreciated by the audience. Taking for his text what some are pron to call "trash," he showed what an important part the lighter varieties of literature play, so that the "trash" of one age becomes of the deepest importance to the next. It was in every way an able and scholarly effort. Mr. Winsor closed with a glowing tribute to the labors of Antonio Panizzi for the British Museum."
