The shooting club is to be congratulated on the success of the matches held during the past few weeks. Though the season was well advanced before any matches were arranged, yet at every meet of the club the attendance has been fair and the scores have reached higher figures than was expected.

Now that the foot-ball season has closed, a great number who were in one way or another interested in that sport are left at liberty to shoot, and with the inducements which the club proposes to offer for good records, in the way of cups and medals, it seems as if the interest in shooting might be maintained until the spring months come in. Then it is hoped that two strong teams may be formed for shot gun and rifle matches with some of the neighboring clubs, or with teams from other colleges and schools, if any such can be found.

It is important that every man who has had experience at either kind of shooting, should come forward in the matches, so that the match committee may know what material is at hand from which to pick teams.
