The nine played a very uninteresting game with the Beacons on Saturday at Beacon park. the absence of Allen and Beaman crippled the nine somewhat. Hamlin caught the first half of the game, and Baker the last four innings. Smith played a good game at first. Winslow, LeMoyne, Ayer and G. P. Merrillded in batting. the game was called at the end of the eighth inning. Following is the score by innings:
