We hope the college authorities will take measures if possible to induce the great English poet and critic, now on a visit to this country to lecture before the students in Cambridge. Mr. Arnold has always had numberless admirers among Harvard men and has more than once in his writings expressed his high regard for this university. It would therefore be peculiarily appropriate that the college in some way should show him especialy honor.
