The annual championship meeting of the New York Athletic Club, for the amateur sparring and wrestling championships of America, will be held at Tammany Hall Saturday, February 24, 1883, at 8 o'clock P. M. The following competitions will take place: Sparring - Heavy weight, over 158 lbs.; middle weight, 158 lbs. and under; light weight. 135 lbs. and under; feather weight, 115 lbs. and under. Wrestling - Catch-as-catch-can; light weight, 135 lbs. and under; middle weight, 158 lbs. and under. Entrance fee $1.00 for each event. Entries close on Saturday, February 17th.
