Prince Frederick Charles Alexander, brother of the Emperor of Germany, died yesterday, aged 82 years.

The House discussed the naval appropriation bill Saturday without action. Monday's debate will be limited to one hour.

It is stated on good authority that the Prince of Wales and suite will visit Canada and the United States in March next.

The largest gasometer in Glasgow exploded Saturday night. The damage is estimated at Pound10,000. The explosion is said to have been the work of Fenians.

The steamer Cimbria, which left Hamburg for Havre and New York on the 16th inst., came into collision with the British steamer Sultan twelve miles southwest of Borkum, and sunk in fifteen minutes. Between three and four hundred lives were lost.
