THE FACULTY AND THE NINE.

At the last meeting of the faculty a committee consisting of Professors Norton, Trowbridge, Byerly and Sargent, was appointed to confer with the managers of the University Nine in order that some measures might be taken by which, without interfering with the best interests of the nine, the nine would not be compelled to leave Cambridge for as long a time as it is at present found to be necessary. No steps, however, will be taken that can interfere with the engagements made by the nine this year, but will have reference only to the management for next year.
