Harvard and Dartmouth contested the second game for the college championship yesterday in the presence of 500 spectators. The game was poorly played on both sides, neither nine doing any good fielding. Dartmouth took the lead in the first inning and held it until the end. Nichols was injured in the first part of the game and Hall took his place behind the bat. For Harvard Olmsted did the best fielding, and Burt and Baker the best batting. Although the result of this game was far from what was expected, owing to their fine playing in games with professionals, yet the nine should not be judged too harshly, as it was evidently an off day, and we have better games to hope for in the future.
