The News thinks that Yale has the largest collection of meteorites in the country, now that Amherst's museum has been destroyed. But the New York Times states that all the smaller meteoric stones of the Amherst collection were kept in vaults and are probably safe, while the larger stones had by chance been removed from the building the day before.
